Thank you for taking the time to read the following information about Jo Ann’s Cleaning Service. In the paragraphs below, please find an expanded description of my business and personal work ethics. I hope this will help you to decide if my services are right for you.

Hard working: When you are paying for a service, you expect to get your money’s worth. I consider my time as your time when cleaning your home or business; whether you are present or not! You will get your money’s worth out of my services.

Quality work:  As the old saying goes “A job worth doing is worth doing well.” If you are like me, you want a thorough job, not a job half-done. I will not only do a thorough cleaning job, but I will do it the way you want it done, and use the supplies that you want me to use. In this way, your home or business will look and smell like it would if you cleaned it yourself.

Honest and trustworthy:  It is difficult in this day and age to find people who are honest, and that we can trust with our possessions. Even in the business world there is “professional dishonesty.” If there is anything that I want my clients to know about me, it is that I am honest and trustworthy. You can leave me in your home or business and not have to worry about your personal things being bothered or stolen. You don’t have to worry about being overcharged, or charged for work that was not performed. I would rather cheat myself than to cheat my clients. Furthermore, I have never been arrested, convicted of any crime, and so far I haven’t even had a traffic ticket. I realize that these things should not have to be stated about a Pastor’s wife and mother of four children, but you just never know…

Bonded:  I realize that some businesses require all outsourced service personnel to be bonded to protect against theft or damages to their premises.  All Jo Ann's personnel, therefore, are bonded for your protection. A copy of my bonding certificate is available for your records.

Licensed:  Jo Ann's Cleaning Service is a wholly owned subsidiary of Burke Beam & Associates, LLC, and Jo Ann's Cleaning Service, LLC is a registered "Assumed Name" in the State of Kentucky. Burke Beam & Associates, LLC (including Jo Ann's Cleaning Service) is licensed to do business in the City of Ashland, Kentucky.

Dependable and punctual:  We all know how frustrating it is when people are not dependable – when they don’t show up for an appointment, or otherwise show up late. Dependability and punctuality are my personal trademarks that you can count on every time. Of course, there are extenuating circumstances and sicknesses beyond our human control, but outside of these rare occurrences, you can count on me to there on time, every time! And if for some reason I am unable to keep my appointment, I will let you know in advance so that you can plan accordingly.

Reasonable rates: My current hourly rate for residential clients is $18 per hour, and $20 per hour for business clients. If 2 cleaning persons are required for a particular job (which is rarely the case), the hourly rate is twice those rates given above. My hourly rates take into account the expenses of my business including equipment costs, office overhead, self-employment taxes, and various other business related expenses. I also charge $4 per trip for automotive costs within a 10 mile radius of Ashland city limits in order to cover my vehicle expenses.  (There is an additional charge of 30 cents per mile for clients located over 10 miles from Ashland.)

In addition, I charge by the hour and not by the room (as most cleaning services do). I do this because I feel that this is the most fair method to both you and me. You get what you pay for, and I get paid for what I do. There is no temptation on my part to cut corners in order to get the job done faster. If you want a thorough cleaning on a given day, it will take me a little longer. If you just want a “brushing up” on a given day, then you’ll only pay me for the time to “brush up”. (Note: I have a 2 hour minimum pay period plus travel expenses). In this way I believe you will best know what to expect and what you are getting for your money with my services.

Christian, woman owned:  It is not my desire to “sell” my gender or my religious convictions, but I hope that you will benefit from both. The Bible teaches that a virtuous, God fearing woman is a blessing to all that her life touches. This I try to be in my business. The Bible also teaches strong work ethics and honesty in business, and to love our neighbor as yourself. A Christian worker who truly tries to live up to their convictions, will certainly strive to live and work according to these Biblical principles. Therefore, whether or not you are a Christian (and I hope that you are or will soon be), you will benefit and be blessed because of my faith in Christ and the practical application of my Biblical convictions.

Friendly, personal service:  I believe you will feel comfortable around me. I try to be pleasant and easy to work with. We aim to please! We want to be a blessing and a positive part of your home and/or business experience.

Ashland based:  My business is based right here in Ashland. I will also work in surrounding areas including Ceredo-Kenova in West Virginia (etc.), Coal Grove and Ironton in Ohio (etc.), and of course the neighboring communities in Boyd County, Kentucky.

References:  Most of us like to have references before we entrust our homes, businesses, and possessions to those we don’t know. Therefore, I will be happy to provide you with both professional and personal references including upstanding citizens in our community who know both my character and my work. Please ask them about anything I’ve stated in this letter.

Miscellaneous policies:

Jo Ann's Cleaning Service Employees:  As the owner of Jo Ann's Cleaning Service I still perform cleaning services myself. However, I do have employees who help me with commercial office cleaning. All employees of Jo Ann's Cleaning Service are personally trained by me and are expected to observe the same policies, and practice the same high standards of service that you can expect of me. All employees of Jo Ann's Cleaning Service are bonded for your protection.

The right to refuse service: I reserve the right to refuse my cleaning services to anyone or to any home or place of business where I do not feel comfortable working for any reason.  As a Christian and woman owned and opporated business this policy is essential to me.

Right to terminate my services: I do not require a contract between Jo Ann's Cleaning Service and my clients, and therefore either you as the client or Jo Ann's Cleaning Service as the service provider, may terminate my cleaning services at any time.
